What is IARSLCE besides an unpronouncable acronym?  It's a conference where researchers from around the world get together to share their work.  This conference is primarily for university faculty and graduate students to present scholarly work, so it was a particular honor to be the only high school invited to present and one of the few non-university presenters.

Student Researcher Christopher Walker and program leader Brad Kohl led a workshop on the math research program.  It was an interesting opportunity and some of our students' ideas are being implemented as far away as South Africa!  We also had an opportunity to meet with other researchers to share ideas.  Because of the quality of his research and his ability to share his ideas, Christopher was often mistaken for a graduate student.  Imagine people's surprise when they found out he was a junior in high school!
